Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre

Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC), founded in 1985, is a tertiary/quaternary-care university hospital
in Porur, Chennai, affiliated with the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research — the
first hospital in India affiliated to a medical university. The campus spans approximately 175 acres with
more than 1,500 beds. SRMC has performed heart transplants since 2000 and reports regional-first
